How to Apply Make up for parties

Make up is used to enhance the beauty of the human body. Make up is the very essential part of every woman life. She wants to look beautiful and to highlight their important features on their face. Makeup is a skill and it is all about using techniques and tricks to apply make up properly. The makeup is related to our fashion, style of hair, whitening of teeth, wearing makeup.
Makeup can also be used to hide blemishes and add a dramatic effect to the face. Many celebrities, actors, and models sit in a makeup chair before making a public appearance. There are so many cosmetics are used for the makeup. For the make up foundation, mascara, eye shadow brushes, blush brush, face powder, blush, waterproof mascaras, lipstick, lip gloss, eye shadow these are the essential things.

Tips for make up

These easy cosmetic tips are perfect for any women looking for a daytime makeup routine. Try to follow the same basic routine whenever you apply your makeup. There are so many steps are included before doing the make up

Analyze your skin to see what type of skin you have: oily, combination, normal, dry.

Before applying makeup wash your face using warm water.

Dot on moisturizer.

Use a gel blush or a cream blush instead of powder in a shade of pink and it will look more natural.

Always use a lash curler immediately after getting out of the shower. The warm water makes the fragile hairs pliable so they're easy to curl and less prone to break.

Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips.

Put a little foundation on the hand. Dot it over the face-on the nose, the cheeks, the chin and the temples and in between the brows.

Apply the powder on your face.

Apply your favorite eye shadow. A light coverage is all you will need.

Apply a small amount of blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Before you sharpen your eyeliner or lip liner keep it in the freezer for about 10 minutes.

Use a lash curler first before applying any mascara. There are several mascaras to choose from depending on the look you want.

To make lipstick last for longer shade your lips with lip liner before you apply lipstick.

Check your blush and add a tiny bit more if necessary.

Makeup Application Tips - How to Apply Professional Makeup

Okay, let’s “face” it. There are very few women in the world that are naturally picture perfect. Luckily, there are many make-up techniques that can help. Applying make-up should not be difficult. Mineral Makeup forms a protective barrier on your skin while still allowing your skin to breath. Mineral Make up gives a lightweight natural feel that allows your skin to breathe, unlike talc-based products that can clog pores and damage skin. If you apply make up eyeshadow use a small brush or sponge applicator to apply shadow over your eye lids, or in the creases, for contouring effect. Apply more than one color if desired. Cover whole lid from lash line to eyebrow, then add another color to lid (lighter color), then one in the crease of the eye lid first using color as a highlight on brow bone blend color just where the meet. Mix matte and shimmer color together. Apply wet for a more dramatic effect or use as an eyeliner.

Finishing powders are applied as you would a foundation. Using your blush brush simply swirl and tap in your lid and apply to cheeks. If you apply eyeliner asmall angle brush works best for this. Eyeshadows may also be used as eyeliners. Apply the foundation with your fingers or a o-tip in dots in areas of your face. With a cosmetic sponge, spread the foundation until it is well-blended into the skin. Use a lip pencil to outline the lips and make them stand out. The next step will be to apply lipstick with a lip brush. A lip brush makes the lipstick look professionally applied. Mix the minerals in with your favorite lip gloss shade to change the color or with a clear gloss to add a boost of color and shimmer. You can apply the minerals to your lips first.

There are women who are not beautiful, but since they know the art of carrying themselves, they come the center of attraction despite their orninary looks. We provides you with all information on cosmetics products in the market and latest makeup application tips to enchance your natural beauty.

For makeup application, there are several different ways. But for me, I do one of the following makeup application techniques depending on my mood, time and color choices.

Make up Application Tips

1. Do not apply white or black shadows to your eyes.

2. Applying lipstick - Cool pink lipstick should be applied with a lipbrush. If you like, you can slick a little lipgloss or lip balm on the top for a sexy shimmer look.

3. Apply a light color all over the lid. Use a darker shade for your upper, outer lid.

4. Brushes should not be so stiff that they scratch the face, nor so soft as to be floppy and difficult to control.

5. Apply lip liner to completely cover the lips, add color and your lipstick will stay on much longer.

6. Your hair color should also be in harmony with your skin. If you have dark hair and you want to add color, keep it close to the same shade. If you have light hair, use light colors. As you age your skin will lighten, so should your hair color. One last thing about hair color - if you do color you hair be sure you keep it up, don't let your roots show.

7. Keep makeup looking fresh all day by doing regular touch ups.

8. Powder blush is best for oily and combo skin.

9. The purpose of eye shadow is to shape and accentuate the eye, not color it. Do not overuse eye shadow. The face looks more attractive when you use natural colors

10. Never go to bed with your makeup on. When the makeup is left on overnight it will clog the pores. It prevents the skin from shedding and may cause blemishes and/or blackheads. The skin needs to breathe overnight.

Blush

Smile, take a blush brush and apply a shade of blush to your cheeks. After this part, sweep the brush back into the hairline. This will make your face glow.

This is the basics of make-up application. There are many colors and tools to experiment. Find your look and remember, applying make-up is an art which makes you look your best.

Now of course this is not the only way to apply makeup but the way I believe works the best. However if you want to play up the lips by using a brighter or darker shade of lipstick then do your lips first and eyes last. This way you won't over power the other.

This is because of growing interests of women in eyebrow plucking that parlor are growing day to day in metros and big cities and making millions of bucks. This task you can do your own, if you will spare a little time for this.

Tips for eyebrow tweezing / plucking

1.Do not tweeze too much. Generally most women commit this mistake. If you will tweeze too much your brows will grow in months long time or so, which you are not expecting from your eyebrows. To find your brow take a long eye shadow brush or pencil and hold it parallel to the side of your nose. The point where brush or pencil meets your brows is the point where your brow begins.

How to Choose Your Lipstick Tomorrow Morning

Have you ever stopped to consider the Huge decision and statement that come into consideration each morning when making your lipstick color selection? Stepping out and facing the world with the color you choose is a major undertaking if you look at it as I do. It can and does project you personality and ego to the very core. So am I scarring you now? This is certainly only my opinion(expert in my mind) as to the daunting task of facing the world with my Lipstick color daily.

So suppose I choose to step my Red Pump out the door with my Red Lips…Do you have a picture in your mind. CONFIDENCE! and maybe just a little assertive although not obviously in your face. Looking to get what you want without anyone knowing? Try some Red lips with a Black Sassy suit in the am. You will not be disappointed with the outcome.

We had an over abundance of snow today. Excuse me! I live in St.Louis and OH! Did someone miss the calendar saying MARCH? Orange Lipstick is on me today always toned down but still orange. Rebelling AND where is the Sun? On my lips and in my heart. My very own personal picture of Orange. This color exudes happiness blended with just a slight bit of adventure. No Reserve and No need…because you feel comfortable in your Orange. What a Bold color.

Pink is always FUN. Gotta love that girl’s music. It’s so girly, rebellious and yet a bit demure. My thoughts often go to a silly place that is so Hot with a bright, over the top pink which some women seem to think is their personal red. I salute you. Makes me smile. Often girls in Pink seem to be assertive while being flirty. Not something I ever mastered although I enjoy watching them in action. Lesson learned.

Berry is reserved when I am looking to fade into the wall. It is very safe and may make you feel as though you are not committed…to anything. Great gym color although I would not consider it unless I have on some faboulous burgundy new shirt. Make it real deep though and play like a rock star.

Browns…Interesting enough I really love them. Browns make me think of power, wisdom and generally on top of my game. Browns remind me of the person that geniunuely knows something that I need to learn. You know a secret that I know I want to hear.

Please share your thoughts on color selection with me. It’s all so interesting how we women (maybe some men) view all with do in living Technicolor.

How To Properly Use And Apply Make Up When You Suffer From Acne

Make-up and Acne

Applying make-up when you have acne is not an easy task, but many teenage women face this problem. If you have ever had to do this you also know what a pain it can be. Being a teenager and learning how to wear make-up is hard enough without the added problem of acne. Here are a few things you may want to try to help ease the process.

Hygiene

First thing you need to do is make sure you practice good hygiene. Washing your face with cool or cold water and a mild soap or cleanser is very important. You need to make sure you keep your face clean. Be careful not to over wash your face, as this can actually damage the skin. After washing carefully dab your face dry with a towel. After washing and drying your face you should apply an astringent. The use of moisturizers and exfoliants can also help keep skin clean and healthy. All of these products can be found at your local retailers.

Decision

Next you will need to decide weather or not you will wear make-up during an outbreak. Some females choose not to because it is such a hassle. Other females like to wear the make-up to help hide the acne. Being a teenager is not always easy, and make-up helps some females feel better about the way they look. There is no right or wrong in this situation, it is up to you as an individual to decide what is best for you.

Type of Make-up

If you do decide to wear make-up, you need to pay attention to what kind you are wearing. Make-up can clog pores can cause more acne. There are make-ups made for teens who have acne that will prevent clogging. These make-ups may also contain an ingredient to help kill the bacteria and clean the pores. There is also non-allergic make-up that can reduce skin irritation and reduce redness.

Department Stores

Many department stores have make-up artists that can help with any questions. Many times these women have special training, and are willing to help. There is no need to be embarrassed either, just remember these women were teenagers once too, and probably dealt with the same problems. The department store may even have special workshops on how to apply make-up properly or how to fight acne. Make sure when you are asking these make-up artists for advice they know that you suffer from acne.

Consultant

You may also want to try talking to a consultant who works for a sales organization. These women may also have products that are designed to help with acne problems. Many times these companies have been around for a while and have a good reputation.

Application

Once you find a make-up that works for you, and have some good tips and advice it is time to apply the make-up. Most times you will be told to use concealer to cover the problem area or areas, then apply foundation to the same places, then continue with the rest of your face. After foundation apply the rest of your make-up to your eyes and lips and so forth and finish off with some powder.

Taking these steps should help you with your make-up during this difficult time. Just remember that there is no one magic cure for everyone. You may have to try more than one product or combination of products before you find what works best for you, just be patient.

How To Pick The Best Foundation

Shopping for the perfect foundation seems as though it should be a fairly simple enjoyable task. While it should be FUN you currently have so many available options on the market today with the same amount of propaganda that it makes shopping for foundation very confusing. Now ADD…Pretty packaging in addition to a crafty convincing Cosmetic counter girl and this whole shopping process can send you home with a totally wrong foundation for your skin. Be a smart consumer! when selecting the best foundation for your specific need and lifestyle. Foundations are not at all like they were in the dark ages of your mother. My mom used to wear Max Factor’s Pancake make-up…Get the picture? Yes! It looked as if you had painted thick latex paint on your face. Foundations are currently available in a wide variety of creams, lotions and even powders today. You will also find that coverage can be from a bare minimum to practically bulletproof.

Keep in mind your objectives and goals when shopping for just the perfect foundation. Most women just need foundation to hide small skin imperfections as well as evening out their skintone. If you require additional concealing, then you will want to purchase an additional product or two to correct you exact skin imperfections and/or blemishes.

It seems as though Mineral Make up has hit the seen with avengence. It is the hottest thing going in the foundation arena. You will find that you apply Minerals with a large brush. They come in both pressed and loose powders although both are equally messy. They generally create a fairly dewy, flawless light finish. Speaking of light they do reflect light in a luminious manor. You can find minerals from Walmart to Saks and all points in between with many in each category worth check out.

You will find many types of foundations on the shelves and at your local department counters to entice you. Some of choices availalbe are tinted moisturizers most of which pose as bronzers, compact foundations, most of which are very heavy, whipped foundations which generally offer only a light coverage.

On to Liquid Foundations…I tend to go back to liquid foundation everytime. It is so easy and simple to blend to a flawless finish using a brush. You will also find that the blending capabilities allow you to add new pearlizers, shadows, bronzing powders to your foundation to create the luminousity you want to achieve. Foundations are offered in both Oil based or Water based as well as fragrance free. Many Foundations on the market are now on non-comogenic, which means they will not clog your pores. Plenty of those non-comogenic foundations are also long lasting and some are waterproof.

Hope this helps you with choosing your new foundation. If all else fails…ask your friends and even a few strangers what they wear. If you find some new great ones out there, please share with me.

How to Apply Blush Make up

By: Peter Hutch

Apply blush to your face to resemble the natural glow of your cheeks and watch the compliments flow in. A hint of makeup blush…and you can look fresher and prettier. The trick lies in choosing the right blush color and learning how to apply blush correctly. But often blush remains the most misused makeup cosmetic. When it comes to applying your blush, less is best. Learn simple tips and tricks to get the blush just right!

Apply Blush Make up

Using small strokes, softly sweep the blusher brush up the cheekbone towards the hairline. Use a good blush brush.

For an especially realistic look apply a bit of blusher across the top of the forehead, the chin and the bridge of your nose.

Apply blush by brushing the cheek color lightly over the apple of the cheek using short, up-and-down vertical strokes moving toward the top of your ear in a teardrop shape with the thinner part at the top and the wider part pointing toward your nose.

Blend into your foundation and at the hairline, with one soft horizontal motion on the top of the vertical strokes, without brushing any color onto the hair.

There are many different kinds of blush (sometimes known as rouge, but you love the word blush because the way you apply the color is to give the impression that you are blushing, that you have a flush of color).

Blush comes in powder, liquid or cream. I prefer a water based cream blush for the first application in the morning, and the powder blush for re-touching during the day, because the cream blush goes on smoothly, is absorbed nicely into your skin, and will last for some time, and you can put powder blush over it anytime during the day.

If you start out your day with powder blush, you cannot retouch with the cream because it will cake and/or blotch on your face. Always start by using a little blusher and gradually build color to get the desired effect. Remember, it is always easier to add more to get the vibrant look. Also, if you apply powder blush on skin that has only foundation on it, it may splotch-the moisture in your skin will grabm it in different places and it will be so spotty, chances are you'll have to start allover again.

Make sure your area is well lit for doing makeup. Consider getting a lighted makeup mirror. Prepare for your makeup by washing your face, brushing your teeth, and putting on any foundations, coverups, and bronzers you may use.

Swipe your brush over your cheek about three times, making strokes back and forth or round and round. Put a big smile on your face so your cheeks perk up (these are the apples of your cheeks) and you may even see some dimples. Place the brush over your cheeks and make strokes with the brush from your cheeks (towards your nose) to the side of your face (towards your ears). Move the brush in a circular fashion as well before going to do the other side of your face.

How To Use Makeup To Enhance Your Already Amazing Eyes

The eyes will give you away. You can tell what a person is thinking just by their eyes. No matter how hard we try others can tell your emotions just by looking at your eyes. This is one of the reasons women tend to take so much time and effort doing their eye make-up.

Using eye make-up can enhance what we want to say. You can make yourself look mysterious or flirtatious, or anything in between. When choosing a look we have many products to choose from such as eye shadow, eye or brow liner, and mascara. All of these products come in a variety of colors too.

Mascara

Eyelashes can really make your eyes pop. Most women say that mascara is a necessity. Mascara is usually the one item women choose to put on if they are forced to make a choice. First you will need to decide what kind of mascara you want. There are many kinds such as all day wear, or lash multiplication, or waterproof. Choose the best for you and the occasion you will be wearing it for. Next you need to choose what color you would like to wear. Once again you have many choices available to you. Next you need to decide if you will be using an eye lash curler to further jazz up those lashes.

If you choose to use an eye lash curler it will curl better if you heat it up for a few seconds with your blow dryer. Once you have the desired curl, get your mascara ready. When applying your mascara make sure you dab any excess off the wand, and start at the base. Mascara will make ensure that your lashes will hold the curl, and really open up your eyes.

Eye shadow

Eye shadow also comes in many colors and kinds. You can choose between compressed powder, cream shadows, or shadow pencils. You also have a wide variety of colors to choose from. When choosing a color remember not to go overboard, you need to think of your eye color and skin tone, and the occasion and look you are going for. When looking for shadow they usually come in palettes of color that compliment each other. Some even come with instructions on where to apply each color.

Eyeliner

Once again you have a variety of eyeliners to choose from. Eyeliners come in a variety of colors also that compliment the color of your eye shadow and your eyes. You can also choose to just stick to the neutral colors, which may not be a bad idea for beginners. Next you can choose from liquid or pencil eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner is applied with a small brush and can be tricky. You need a steady hand for this, and there is not a lot of room for error. Eyeliner pencils tend to be more forgiving and have more options. With a pencil you will need to sharpen it as needed, but you have more control. Even if you do mess up you can blend it for a different look.

Eyebrows and Under Eyes

Eyebrow liner comes in a variety of colors so you can find one that matches you eyebrows. Shaped eyebrows help accentuate the eyes. Brushing your brows and then plucking any strays will create a clean look. You can then use the eyebrow liner to fill in where needed. Make sure not to neglect the skin under your eyes. Dark circles will draw attention, but usually not the kind we want. Make sure you get enough sleep and water to help prevent the circles, but if this doesn't help you may want to use an under eye concealer to help.

Once you are comfortable with applying your make-up, try experimenting. Have some friends over and have a girl's night. You can share make-up tips and help each other with some new looks. Have fun with your make-up.

How To Create The "Smokey Eyes" Look With Makeup

This is a very sensual, dramatic and intense look, more appropriate for a young woman, as it can considerably harden the gaze in a mature woman, and by that age what we are after is for the mature woman to look fresh and youthful. PERFECT FOR A SOCIAL OCCASION OR NIGHT TIME MAKE UP This look is perfect for either a social gathering or a night out. It adds personality and strikingly transforms whoever wears it, although achieving a perfect finish isn’t always easy, as patience is required not to smudge the shadow. Following these instructions will make reaching a perfect result a lot easier. ACHIEVE A BETTER FINISH If we use a fixing agent –there are several brands of these on the market for eyeshadow and lips which can do the trick very well; once the product is on, we start to get rid of eye bags and imperfections with the corrector, and we blend the product in well. ILLUMINATE THE FACE Create points of light with an illuminator in the area just below the eyebrows, the upper regions of the cheekbone, the space between the eyebrows, and on the chin. Apply a foundation as close as possible to the skin’s tone, or at most one tone higher. A FAILSAFE TRICK Blend the eyelids using loose powders: this way the shadows will then slide better, and apply a quantity of powders on the area beneath the eyes as this way we can later pick up any excess black shadow particles, and eliminate them with a makeup brush. With a neutral tone we unify the mobile eyelid, after which, as mentioned, we apply the black shadow in small amounts, to make sure we apply the right quantity. We may finish by underscoring the base of the lashes with a black pencil, and blending it well. WHO DOESN’T THIS SUIT? In terms of eye shape: the only kind of person not to benefit from this look would be either someone with very small eyes -as dark tones sink the gaze- or someone with wide-set eyes as in these cases a natural look is more flattering. This look will give excellent results on large, and almond or slanted eyes. Other variants of this look are in grey tones, which look good on green, blue or brown eyes, and navy blue, also very flattering on chestnut, brown, green and blue eyes. Dark brown shadow goes well with green and blue eyes. The rouge needs to be very subtle, so as not to distract from the eyes: a pink tone will look right. And the lips should also be very soft in tone, in a pearly pink or very gentle rosy gloss or just plain lip gloss. The result is spectacular.

How To Apply Eyeliner

By: jikky jackson

Apply Eyeliner Like A Professional

Many people think they already know how to apply eyeliner, and by all rights, they do a good job. In actuality, there is a big difference between the way you might apply eyeliner and the way a professional make-up artist does. Use these easy-to-follow steps and you can apply eyeliner like a professional make-up artist:

1. Select your eyeliner

An eyeliner must be applied near the base of your eyelashes. As there are varying products in the market such as cake eyeliner, liquid liner and pencil eyeliner, it is important to try each type so that you will know which type will best accentuate your own natural beauty. Also, to whatever type you prefer, practice the application so you can achieve a very fine line. Remember that it is not a pretty sight when you apply eyeliner in a very thick line. It will look harsh, at the same time loud, making your eyes as well as giving it a tired and heavy impression. Always bear in mind that a thin line is recommended - should you have any trouble applying it, a brush is helpful to smooth out the line and to blend it well.

Liquid eye liner.

Liquid eyeliners are recommended to be used and should only be used above the top of the eye lashes, whereas an eye shadow or an eye lining pencil is suggested to be used under the eyes lower lashes. This kind comes usually in a bottle with an application brush, almost similar to an ink. This requires great precision during application, but can be perfected through constant practice. A note to remember is to always let the liquid dry before you open your eyes after application - if not, the liquid may smear the top of your eyes and give you a raccoon look.

Eye liner pencil

The easiest to use, works just like colored pencil. As the tip of this liner is dry, it has a tendency of pulling your eyelids fragile tissues; stretching the eyelids when lining it could help a lot in achieving a smooth application. A note to remember, you should always sharpen the pencil before every application to eliminate any bacteria that has accumulated at the tip.

Permanent eyeliner

This is can be created through cosmetic surgery. This procedure is known as micro pigmentation, a technique that adds a defined line to the lid which with a handheld device used to puncture the skin several times a minute with a very thin needle that pushes color pigments to the position that is desired.

2. Apply the eyeliner

- Begin at the inner corner of your eye. Always be certain to use a light hand when applying your eyeliner, as the area around the eyes is very sensitive and delicate.

- Put on your eyeliner only after you have already applied an eye shadow. Doing it before an eye shadow application would only cover the eyeliner.

- To achieve a dramatic and intense look, a kohl pencil with a color can be applied above as well as below the lashes, and then followed with black or very dark gray liquid eyeliner at the top. This will give the impression of dark eye lashes and will stay on for the whole day. A dark colored eye-liner will highlight the eyes form and outline as well as give them a deep look.

- While holding your head back facing the mirror, look down so that your eyelids will become tight making it easier in applying and controlling the liner. When necessary, smudge.

- The eyes will seem larger when you make a line with a pencil under your lower lashes - instead try a dark eye shadow applied with the help of a tiny makeup brush, to give an illusion of darker and fuller eye lashes. Below such line, you need to apply also a thin line with a lighter shade of eye shadow, preferably white, yellow or beige to brighten up your eye area.

- Pencil liners may be used on both above the top lashes as well as under the lower lashes. Liquid eye liners however, must only be applied on the top lid. Cake eyeliners are applied with water and may be put on to both the top and so too the bottom of the lid.

- If you have beautiful green eyes, try putting on a violet smoky pencil that will enhance your eyes, since basing from the color wheel, violet and green are opposite, so they will compliment each other.

- Refer to nature when you are in a process of deciding on a color. Green, beige and burnt orange are autumn colors.

- Others prefer using an eye liner not only for the eyes, but the lips as well. Should you decide on this, an eye lining pencil will be most suitable for the application. Make sure though, that you choose a certain shade of somewhat reddish brown or orangey-brown or a brownish plum, to compliment and flatter your lipstick.
